Moonestone Herald, Internal Submissions

Lady Maggie Wryght

Moonestone (along with Ruby) is responsible for the processing of heraldic submissions.  Moonestone is in charge of paperwork and Internal Commentary on OSCAR (Online System for Commentary And Response).

Submissions Basics:

A complete name submission (personal name, alternate name, household name) must include the following:

    • One copy of documentation for your name that does not fit on the submission form (names without documentation will be returned as will documentation that cannot be read)
  • A check or money order (NO CASH) $8.00 made out to ‘SCA, Inc. Kingdom of Gleann Abhann’.  Please put ‘Submissions’ in the memo line, if available.

A complete armory submission (device, badge, household badge) must include the following:

  • One marker colored copy of the armory submission form.  Any forms that have been printed on a color printer will be returned.  They do not scan correctly into OSCAR.  Do not send us color printed copies.
  • One line copy of the same form.  This means coloring book, no shading whatsoever.  Keep a copy of this for yourself in case there are issues with the paperwork once it arrives.  (Rain and markers do not mix well.)
  • A check or money order (NO CASH) $8.00 made out to ‘SCA, Inc. Kingdom of Gleann Abhann’.  Please put ‘Submissions’ in the memo line, if available.

All materials need to be mailed to:

SCA – GA College of Heralds
c/o Brittany Hutcheson
PO Box 1847
Kenner LA 70063

If a group is registering anything for their group, a petition must be filled out and dated  by a majority of the populace and officers or by the seneschal and at least three-quarters of the other local officers.  That petition can be found on the same page as the submissions forms.

  • Internet-accessible computer (Not a mobile device!)
  • Scanner with adjustable settings
  • Good people skills
  • Reasonable Access to the Bank used by the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann (this can be worked around)
